LSE SU National Economic Inequality Initiative

About the Club

We are a new grassroots movement which aims to tackle economic inequality. Many organisations tend to focus on creating factual reports and lobbying elected individuals, leaving the victims themselves vulnerable to dangerous rhetoric. We want to change this. We have 3 aims: 1. To EDUCATE people on the sources of economic inequality and its prevalence within society 2. To AID those affected through volunteering and other initiatives 3. To make an IMPACT! We challenge harmful notions and misconceptions surrounding the root causes of inequality, helping to educate those vulnerable to misinformation Events we hold include: - volunteering to create positive change in the local community - speaker events to gain inisghts from leading researchers and specialists - workshops to build practical skills and learn how to elevate activism so it has the most impact - fun fundraising socials to support a worthy cause
