About the Club

Southampton University Rugby Football Club (SURFC) is one of the University of Southampton’s leading student sports clubs, bringing together around 60–70 students across our 1st XV and 2nd XV teams. We compete in BUCS leagues and have a busy programme of training, fixtures and social events throughout the academic year. Our members come from a wide range of degree programmes, with a particularly strong representation of engineering, science and other STEM students. As a club, we aim to provide a competitive sporting environment alongside a strong social and community experience. We are also keen to work with businesses and organisations that want to engage with the university student population through sponsorship, recruitment opportunities, events and brand exposure. Through our social media, matchday content and university network, we can help partners connect with the University of Southampton’s community of over 25,000 students while supporting the development of student sport. For the 2026/27 season, we are looking to build long-term partnerships with businesses that want to support university sport while gaining meaningful exposure to an engaged student audience.
